It is Never Goodbye Only Hello
Though I have been absent for a good millennium does not mean that you have not been on my mind. I mentioned before that I am working on a new chapter to the story that is my life and lets just say it went from story to novel as multiple chapters spilled out before me so please be patient with me as you always have been and I promise I will try my best not to disappoint.

You Can Never Have Enough Pasta
Given the pictures below I found it fitting to share a pasta recipe I am dying to try.
Serves 2-3
- 4-6 cleaned, trimmed artichokes (stem included-optional)
- 2 cloves of crushed garlic
- 1 small red chilli finely sliced
- a handful of parsley finely chopped
- olive oil for frying
- salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked “al dente” spaghetti
- Blanch your cleaned artichokes in some boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Heat up some olive oil in a pan on medium heat and once it’s heated add your artichokes. Fry on both sides for a few minutes ensuring they do not burn.
- Add your garlic and chilli and give everything a good toss and stir. Season accordingly with salt and pepper.
- Add the spaghetti and toss everything together. If the mixture becomes a little dry add some more olive oil and a little pasta water to loosen it up a little.
- Plate the spaghetti with the artichokes and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
The blog that I got this from had the following to say about this recipe: (This recipe comes courtesy of the little Italian lady who lived next door to me when I first moved out of home in Melbourne. She would fry up artichoke hearts (stem included) in a little olive oil with garlic and toss through just cooked spaghetti. It was her comfort food. I’ve added a few extras to give the dish a little lift.)
How sweet is that, and so special of her to share!
Roman Holiday...if only Audrey was there
It has been a couple of weeks if not almost a month since I have been back from Europe and I think it is time I shared some pictures with you. Please may I add that if you choose to repost, pin, etc., please make sure to site and give credit where it is due given that these pictures are my own personal photos.

A Splash of Color
I absolutely adore my neutral tones but given that it is time for Spring I am trying to incorporate more color into my life. It is time for me to bid adieu to my comfortable, relaxing neutrals, and add a dash of spice with bright, exuberant colors. I think I should start small...

Moo Moo Loves Little Bear
24 years ago your mom popped you out and I am so glad she did. Happy Birthday to my life long partner in crime, the shoulder that I have leaned on, and the one I have shared belly-aching laughs with. A true friendship is one that has had ups and downs, yet you still find solid ground within one another. I love you and look forward to the many more birthdays we have in store.
Here are the little things in life that you have made into the important things because they remind me of you.
I could not have said this better myself...and our slogan is "You have issues!"
For you always loving balloons and getting excited over the little things.
For loving Mr. Whale
For Tatiana
For Henry
For loving the color purple along with anything that blooms.
For always being my other half my M&M.
I love you friend for all that you do and all that you are.
Happy Birthday My Darling Little Bear.
