I just adore these outfits. I love that they look comfortable and simple while still being fashionable. I have always wondered what I would categorize my style as, and looking at these outfits I think it is safe to say that my style is simple and classic with a hint of glamour just like these fabulous women below.
P.S. I love that their looks are so versatile and fit for many of seasons.

Oscar
Rachel Zoe recently created window displays for Tiffany and Co. in honor of the 2012 Academy Awards and more magnificent than the collaboration was the Jean Schlumberger Fleur de Mer clip. The clip was a gift from Richard Burton to Elizabeth Taylor and the display was the first time the piece was unveiled since its purchase from Taylor's estate....what to do you think of the displays, yay or nay?
Lastly with its grand entrance is the Fleur de Mer clip.

This is What Makes Life Beautiful
I do not usually, if ever, share videos and thats because no video has ever really captured my attention to where I felt it worthy of sharing with the world. However, as I was roaming Pinterest as I do every morning, I stumbled upon this video. When I watched this video I cried from beginning to end and I am not typically a cryer. I will forewarn you that this is sad in some parts but most of all this video is filled with beauty. This video I found worthy of sharing because it shows how beautiful humanity can be as well as how much beauty the world has hidden in the depths of its embrace if only we stop and listen to the people around us. I hope that you enjoy this video and that your heart becomes filled warmth and growth.

A Heart And A Dart Make For A Start
The most beautiful part about valentines day is the abundance of flowers and a plethora of bright colors galore everywhere I roam about to.
I hope that each and every one of you has a day filled with love but more importantly may every one of you have a life filled with so much love that you not need only one day alone.

Baby It's Cold Outside
I guess Mother Nature wanted to prove that she is not confused because it is now cold for the millionth day in a row...yes I exaggerate its only been all of four days but what can I say as a girl from the South I can only handle heat.
Meanwhile, though my bones may not appreciate the chilliness my appetite and wardrobe do!
I am enamored with the simplicity yet beauty of this coat...

I am enamored with the simplicity yet beauty of this coat...
and my appetite is enamored with this recipe...also, this is not the quickest of meals to prepare and is therefore perfect for a cold day bundled up in the house:
Semmelknoedel with Mushroom Sauce
Makes seven pieces, for three people
Makes seven pieces, for three people
Ingredients:
- 250 g (8.9 oz) dry white bread, cut in cubes
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 50 g (1/3 cup) flour
- 250 ml (1 cup) milk
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 3 stems of flat parsley, coarsely chopped
- ½ teaspoon salt
- olive oil
Instructions:
1. Place the bread cubes in a large bowl. Heat olive oil in a medium pan, add the onions and stir until they get soft and golden. Add the onions to the bread cubes.
2. Now do the same with the parsley. Then gently heat the milk in a small saucepan, but don’t let it boil!
3. Mix in the beaten egg and pour both over the bread mixture. Add the salt and the flour and knead it by hand until everything is mixed. If the mixture is too moist, add some flour; if it’s too dry, add some liquid.
4. Form seven small knoedel, put them in salted cooking water and let them simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Mushroom Sauce:
- 300 g (10.7 oz) mushrooms (champignons)
- 100 g (3.5 oz) king trumpet (kraeuterseitlinge)
- 50 g (1.7 oz) shiitake mushrooms
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 50 ml (1/4 cup) white wine
- 100 ml (1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon) heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon flat parsley, chopped
- salt
- fresh-ground white pepper
- olive oil
Instructions:
1. Wipe mushrooms clean with a damp kitchen towel. Never wash the mushrooms; they get soaked with water and lose flavor. Cut them into slices.
2. Heat oil in a large saucepan, add the chopped onions and gently fry over heat until they get soft. Add the mushrooms and cook for a few minutes. Be sure that all mushroom slices have contact with the pan bottom. Otherwise liquid escapes, and the mushrooms get more cooked than fried.
3. Dust the mushrooms with flour, pour in the white wine and bring all to a boil. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Add the parsley and season with salt and pepper.

Confused But Not Amused...
I am a girl who fancies nature and all of it's natural wonders however, I think dear Mother Nature is a bit confused these days. The weather has been springy and then cold (even with tiny tiny snowflakes) all in the last two weeks...visually it can be best described as such:
A bit of spring from the flowers and a bit of winter from the thick knit.

Falling for Pieces
There are certain clothing necessities I just cannot live without as I am sure many people have these staple pieces. Here are some of my absolute favorite staples:
2. Having some statement jewelry is a must given that I am a jewelry maniac!
3. Scarfs, scarfs, scarfs....my life is not complete without a nice scarf that warms my soul with its embrace all day long.
4. Prada...swoon swoon swoon! If only I could own every piece.
5. Bright colors to add some spice to a classic wardrobe.
6. Last but most definitely not least a good pair of ballet flats...Chanel if I must.
1. A nice clean crisp classic top. This can be worn around the town when running errands, at the office, or in the evening with an amazing statement jewel (listed below)

Tuesday Quote Day
It is true that I am a lover of all things beautiful and glamorous but I do not love the things that I do for their monetary value but rather for the art and beauty that each item holds...thus, these are truly words to live by:

Kaftan Love Affair
There are many many things that I absolutely am head over heels infatuated with. Yet, despite my many loves, I have been in love with kaftans for as long as I can remember. Lounging is not complete for me without one of my many kaftans. Kaftans have been glamorous for ages and will live in my heart for ages more, just look at how marvelous kaftans can be!
P.S. Like two lovers destined to be together, kaftans and glorious living spaces make for the most destined of duos.

Relaxing in Glamour
Come the weekends I am ready to get dressed up and add some glamour to my life but I also enjoy having a lounge day. Lounge days are days where I can relax with loved ones... and there is nothing better than relaxing in a glamorous space. If only I could call these spaces my own!

Fitness is the Business
For some time I have been in the slump of not working out because I am too tired and flat out too lazy to do any exercise after a hectic day. Who would want to work out when I could blog and look at all the beautiful things in the world....that is BAD!
Since yesterday I decided that fitness is not about what you look like, what size clothing you wear, or even what others think. What is important about fitness is in the word itself and that is F.I.T which I would like to think stands for:
F-Feeling good (its not what you look like but how you feel, once I start working out, my preference being yoga, I really begin to feel more relaxed with my muscles not being as tense and my energy levels high).
I-Inner Self (You should workout for you and nobody else, don't do it to look like the people in the media because that is not reality, you should workout to find inner peace and beauty in the body that you have).
T-Tolerance (This is the hardest part of fitness I think! Tolerating the sweating, the hard work, and everything else that goes into working out...but better to tolerate a few minutes of hard work then to tolerate a lifetime of being unhealthy).
I may be going somewhere in the near future (a surprise I will share with you as it draws closer) and I would love to be healthy and fit enough to feel good in a pair of shorts and more importantly a bathing suit. (by the way I thought this was just a cute summer look, keep in mind not everybody can or does look like this in life!)
The most important part of fitness I think is eating healthy, here are some foods to consider.
A genius idea for having something on hand through out the day.
I adore this idea and find it to be pure genius!

Green Smoothie Cups:
What you will need:
2 cups coconut water
1/3 cup almonds
2 cups spinach
2 celery stalks, chopped
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/2 orange
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
2 cups frozen mango cubes
What you will need to do:
Place the ingredients in the order listed in a blender container and whirl until smooth. Divide mixture among 12 muffin cups and freeze until solid. When ready for a refreshing drink, place 1 cup coconut water or regular water in a blender followed by two of the green cups and whirl. If you don’t have a powerful blender, you might need to cut the frozen smoothie cups into quarters first.

Out of Sight but Not Out of Mind I Hope
Its been a while since I last posted. I swore to myself I was not going to be one who would stop blogging when things got hectic but I guess I had a small lapse. I am back now and hopefully though I was out of sight I was not out of your mind.
Here is a little glimpse of what I felt my week was like...though no where as simplistic when is stress and franticness ever captured in a beautiful shot? I have yet to see such a thing.
