Since yesterday I decided that fitness is not about what you look like, what size clothing you wear, or even what others think. What is important about fitness is in the word itself and that is F.I.T which I would like to think stands for:
F-Feeling good (its not what you look like but how you feel, once I start working out, my preference being yoga, I really begin to feel more relaxed with my muscles not being as tense and my energy levels high).
I-Inner Self (You should workout for you and nobody else, don't do it to look like the people in the media because that is not reality, you should workout to find inner peace and beauty in the body that you have).
T-Tolerance (This is the hardest part of fitness I think! Tolerating the sweating, the hard work, and everything else that goes into working out...but better to tolerate a few minutes of hard work then to tolerate a lifetime of being unhealthy).
I may be going somewhere in the near future (a surprise I will share with you as it draws closer) and I would love to be healthy and fit enough to feel good in a pair of shorts and more importantly a bathing suit. (by the way I thought this was just a cute summer look, keep in mind not everybody can or does look like this in life!)
The most important part of fitness I think is eating healthy, here are some foods to consider.
A genius idea for having something on hand through out the day.
I adore this idea and find it to be pure genius!
Green Smoothie Cups:
What you will need:
2 cups coconut water
1/3 cup almonds
2 cups spinach
2 celery stalks, chopped
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/2 orange
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
2 cups frozen mango cubes
What you will need to do:
Place the ingredients in the order listed in a blender container and whirl until smooth. Divide mixture among 12 muffin cups and freeze until solid. When ready for a refreshing drink, place 1 cup coconut water or regular water in a blender followed by two of the green cups and whirl. If you don’t have a powerful blender, you might need to cut the frozen smoothie cups into quarters first.
